The Environment and LEED®

Here at rcs construction, we recognize the importance of thinking  green.  As a responsible corporate citizen and member of the Canada Green Building Council, we undertake many initiatives within the office and on project sites to reduce, reuse and recycle and care for the environments within which we operate.  One of the most visible efforts to date is the acquisition of Toyota Prius Hybrid vehicles for some project management staff.

We have worked on LEED^® accredited projects and we are the prime contractor in the construction of the new Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market, a multi-million dollar facility on the Halifax waterfront that will host a weekly farmers’ market and will contain other retail and corporate space.  This innovative building is slated to be a LEED^® Platinum facility when complete.
